昂步棧道 Ngong Ping Charity Walk 2013

「昂步棧道」在過去的六年來，為協會籌得超過五百萬經費以推動青年旅舍營運。每年一月，參加者於大嶼山東涌出發，身體力行為香港青年旅舍協會籌款，改善青年旅舍設施，用以推動背包客旅遊文化。今年，我們繼續支持香港青年旅舍協會，背包看世界，昂步棧道行。
活動簡介

步行日期:	2013年1月20日(星期日)
起步禮地點:	東涌東薈城名店倉露天廣場
活動形式:	路線分為樂行組及競賽組，樂行組鼓勵參加者以輕鬆郊遊形式欣賞沿途大自然風光;競賽組為遠足競賽形式經鳳凰山及昂坪棧道以挑戰自我體能。
昂步嘉年華會:	由大學生及不同義工團體，透過遊戲攤位讓大家了解香港文化遺產及環境保育的重要性。
截止報名:	12月19日(星期三)

活動目的
活動希望為「香港青年旅舍協會」籌得150萬元善款。透過接觸大自然和大嶼山旅遊境點，了解環保及保育的重要性。同時，藉步行遠足籌款方式推動文化交流、身心健康及環境保育等「香港青年旅舍協會」使命。

　　The Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) is organizing the Ngong Ping Charity Walk 2013, which will take place on 20 January 2013 (Sunday).  The Charity Walk is HKYHA's annual event aiming at arousing public awareness on nature conservation as well as raising funds for the operations and improvements of HKYHA's hostels.

　　The theme of the upcoming Walk is "See the world on backpack, see Hong Kong on trail" with details as follows:

Event Date: 20 January 2013 (Sunday)

Assembly and registration Time: Around 8:15 a.m.

Assembly Point: The Square of Citygate Outlets in Tung Chung

Routes and minimum donation: (1) Leisure 11 km (Leisure Route), takes around 4 hours
(2) Explorer 17 km (Competition Route), takes around 7 hours
(3) Challenger 23 km (Competition Route), takes around 8 hours

The leisure route encourages participants to enjoy the scenic spot and natural beauty along the Lantau island; Competition routes encourage participants to challenge themselves along The Lantau Peak and Ngong Ping Trial.
